Iftar at Rumah Kasih Harmoni

On 5th September 2009, PEERS visited Rumah Kasih Harmoni for iftar. Located in Rawang, the house consists of 20 boys and 20 girls below the age of 6. They are underprivileged children from low income family background and some of them are orphans. It was an evening of fun and games as we conducted a few indoor activities for the children while a few of us prepared the food for iftar. The spread was delicious as all of us brought food for the potluck, from mee goreng to roti jala, kfc and satay. After iftar, we break for Maghrib prayers and proceeded to giving away duit raya and gift pack to the children. Thank you to Hj. Raif Muslim for joining the event and presenting the donation cheque worth RM3,450.00 to the house representative.

Picnic at Sungai Tekala

On August 15th 2009, PEERS held a picnic at Sungai Tekala, Semenyih. This time around, PEERS planned the trip to be more family-oriented, giving a chance to those with small children to join in the fun. Participants were stuffed full to the brim, thanks to the variety of foodstuffs brought. The children and those young at heart too had a wonderful time dipping in the pristine water.

Thank you for supporting PEERS and we hope that you look forward to our upcoming activities!

To those who didn't make it to our FRIM outing, here's what you've missed!

The trip to FRIM, Kepong organized by PEERS was a blast for the 31-odd participants, which was held on July 5th, 2009. The air fresh, the greenery lush, and we were geared for adventure. It kicked off with a short briefing by our guide Pak Jalali on FRIM's history and the trek we were about to embark. We saw the four huge Arapaimas, lazily swimmng in their ponds, the marbleized tree stump, the tall whispering trees with their myriad of names, history and applications.
